A West Texas native, born in Odessa and raised in Iraan and Monahans, Jill graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in Communications (Radio/TV/Film). She moved to Los Angeles after graduating and soon landed a job with a production company assisting a Hollywood power couple. Right out of the gates, they went on a worldwide press tour traveling to 11 countries promoting their film with New Line Cinema. The job called for administrative “jack-of-all trades” abilities including managing schedules, travel, press events, estate management, personal affairs, event planning and PR to name a few. With acute observation, listening and time management skills, often having to be “on” 24/7, Jill was able to prove herself in a short amount of time. 

She continued her career with a promotion to Creative Executive - film and TV show development for Genial Pictures and Disney. During her 10 year career in the entertainment industry, Jill earned respect for her integrity, professionalism, ethics, knowledge, and “genial” personality. She moved from Los Angeles back to her home state of Texas in 2005, shifting gears to work as a sales rep for a major publishing house. The sales experience gained working her massive territory across Texas included countless sales presentations to large audiences and extensive sales and product training. Her unique background and skill set ultimately set Jill up for a successful career in real estate. 

After deciding to stay home to raise her three children, she joined her husband and partner, Steve Johnson, in his own brokerage, focusing on residential sales in Lakeway and the Lake Travis area. Jill and Steve made the move together to Compass, leveraging their extensive local connections and reputation for superior service. To them, there is nothing more important than providing the best possible service and finest industry resources to clients in the market they truly love. They specialize in luxury buyer and seller representation in Western Travis County, particularly the Lake Travis area, as well as multi-family investments from duplexes to apartment buildings. 

Married for 17 years, with three amazing children, Jill strives to live a life that reflects her faith and believes in treating people well with compassion and respect. She and her family live in Lakeway, TX where they are very active in their community.
