A 5th generation Texan, Andy Douglas visited Austin regularly while growing up in neighboring San Antonio. At an early age he became familiar with the city's reputation as the “Live Music Capital of the World,” frequently making the drive with his family to catch weekend performances by local legends like Jerry Jeff Walker and Lyle Lovett. He loved the city not only for its musical charm, but also for hiking at surrounding state parks, watching bats fly out of caves and bridges, and swimming in central Texas waterholes. In addition to the traditional Austin attractions, the city continues to gain national recognition in the world of tech, film and food, making it an ideal place to live and work! Douglas began a career in carpentry and set design in the theater department at the University of Incarnate Word. Constructing entire stages from models to functioning edifices, Andy fostered a comprehensive knowledge of structural composition and design finishing. He parlayed his experience into luxury home and landscape design renovations. From rainwater collection system upgrades to large-scale sculpture installations, Douglas consulted and worked on projects in every neighborhood in Austin. After more than five years of professional work, Andy was inspired to use his expertise in construction and knowledge of the local market to help Austinites find homes they love. Douglas is passionate about locating the perfect address for those with special requests. Whether it’s the creative couple looking to live within walking distance of a farmers market to the family in search of a cul-de-sac home, Andy works to exceed expectations and find the best option on the market. Furthermore, he specializes in connecting his clients with top-notch local and regional vendors including custom landscapers, inspectors and more.
Douglas resides in Austin with his fiancé Sarah Post. In his free time, he plays on a men’s indoor soccer team and enjoys participating in local charity runs including the Susan G. Komen® Race for the Cure and The Gazelle Foundation Run for the Water.
Andy is a member of the ABOR, the TAR, the NAR, the Texas Real Estate Commission, and the TREPAC.
